My love of yoga began many years ago working long hours in the corporate world as a Change Management Consultant. I found it to be a gentle and effective "work-in" with great benefits for physical and mental well-being. With a lifelong interest in yoga, mental well-being and a background in Psychology, I also wanted to explore the mind from a yogic perspective. In 2020 I decided to complete a year long Diploma of Yoga Studies - Teacher Training at the Yoga Institute in Sydney - a breath centred approach based on the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya, considered to be one of the greatest yogis of the past century. Further studies in 2021 include trauma sensitive yoga, yoga for cancer and yoga for mental health.
When the mind is in a state of yoga it is more relaxed, steady, alert and focused, allowing us to see things more clearly, to appreciate the present moment, to feel happier, and to live more at ease.
My teaching method incorporates breath and gentle movement to help focus and calm the mind, strengthen the body, develop balance and build flexibility - always encouraging what feels good. Linking the breath, body and mind becomes like a moving meditation.
I incorporate yoga tools such as asana (physical poses), breathing, and guided relaxation adapted for all levels. I also enjoy weaving in gentle themes such as gratitude, balance, letting go, stillness, curiosity, and compassion for contemplation, both on and off the mat.

I live with my husband, three daughters and a rather large groodle dog in Vaucluse, Sydney. Yoga is always on my mind.
